Chase  HattawayChase Hattaway focuses his practice on complex civil litigation matters. He represents clients in state and federal court and has argued jury and non-jury trials as well as appeals in both state and federal courts. Chase has a diverse practice, but much of his work involves representing employers and higher education institutions.

As part of his employment practice, Chase consults with employers on compliance with state and federal law. He also defends employers in state and federal court against various claims of discrimination including retaliation, harassment, whistle-blower and wrongful termination.

As part of his higher education practice, Chase consults with colleges and universities on higher education law. His practice often involves investigations by the Office of Civil Rights, student grievances, the Americans with Disabilities Act and other complex areas unique to educational institutions.

Finally, Chase defends businesses and individuals in personal injury lawsuits. He has litigated various types of complex cases, often involving catastrophic injuries.
